Law, you MUST be given a General Price List before you start to make funeral arrangements.
The price list must contain the individual prices for all the basic services and fees
charged by the funeral home. By Federal Law,
you MUST be shown a Casket Price List before discussing casket selection. They cannot
change these prices or offer you a different price list to penalize you for buying your
casket elsewhere. With the exception of the non-declinable fee which must be accepted, you
can select or omit any item on the general price list. Knowing your rights under the law will help you make informed
decisions.
